A great way to grind for passive abilities is with the daily run. The daily run changes every day at 1:00 a.m. UK time. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Run away from the first two Pokémon.
- Use Thunder Wave on the Brakesin to paralyze it, making it easier to catch.
- Follow this sequence of events exactly to get the same outcome every time because the daily run is seeded. This means the results are always the same if you follow the same steps.
- Once you catch the Brakesin, you’ll get candies.
Repeat this process by refreshing the page after each catch until you have enough candies.
Besides daily runs, the other ways to grind for passives are:
- Hatch as many eggs as you can. Each hatched Pokémon gives you candies.
- Catch as many Pokémon as you can in the wild. Each caught Pokémon gives you candies.
- Catch bosses, as they give you two candies at a time.
